About Nikolas Pereira
Get to Know My Story
Raised in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) with a multicultural background, Nikolas developed a taste for music from a young age, listening from Beatles and Al Stewart, to 2Pac and Eminem. On his teenage years he became a drummer for playing in several bands and also started DJing in Rio’s nightclubs, which led him to the world of production.
In Brazil he developed his production skills, both creatively and also technically, getting familiar with synthesis and mixing techniques. Pursuing a career in the music industry, he moved to Berlin at the age of 21 and started his studies, graduating as a bachelor of sound engineering and as a sound production in 2020.
He started his professional engineering career in Berlin as a freelancer, doing projects in studios such as Nadoki Studios, Oloko Studios and Tritonus Tonstudio. There he gained much needed professional practice and knowhow to later return to Rio. In Brazil he freelanced as a mixing engineer and as recording engineer at Gigante de Pedra.
In 2021 Nikolas entered TV Globo as a sound designer and mixer, taking part in projects like Caldeirão do Mion, Justiça 2, Guerreiros do Sol and many others. There he got a new vision of mixing techniques and sound design techniques which contributed to his musical production style. After three years at Globo, Nikolas decided to leave and continue his career as a freelance mixer and producer.
